About Hot Air Herts

Two things to clear up first

Hot Air Herts Ltd is registered for other amusement and recreation activities not elsewhere classified (SIC 93290). Its registered office is at Finkin Street in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

First: the name says Herts and the registered office is in Lincolnshire. That is what the company records say, and we would rather state it than let anyone be confused by it. Where an activity takes place is agreed when it is booked, and it is not assumed from either the name or the registered office.

Second: we do not operate hot air balloons. We do not sell balloon flights, pleasure flights or any other air transport, and we are not an air operator. Carrying passengers by air for reward is a licensed activity, and it is not ours.

What we do is organise activities: working out what something actually involves, finding and checking a site, writing the risk assessment, confirming permissions and insurance, and running the day with somebody named as responsible for it.

Our activities are organised for adults. We do not run activities for children or for adults at risk. Work of that kind carries safeguarding, enhanced disclosure and supervision requirements that have to be in place first, and it is not something to take on because a customer asked.
